Past Continuous / Passado Contínuo - Acontecimentos Passados - 8th graders

First example:

What were you doing on December, 31st 2019 at 8pm?

Were you chatting to friends?
                                                           or
Were you watching TV?
                                                           or
Were you travelling?


Second example:

At the time the Twin Towers were attacked I was working.


Third example:

I always go to bed at 11pm. So, last night at 11:30 I was sleeping.



Primeiro exemplo:

O que você estava fazendo no dia 31/12/2019 às 20h?

Você estava conversando com amigos?
                                                                                   ou
Você estava assistindo TV?
                                                                                   ou
Você estava viajando?


Segundo exemplo:

No momento em que as Torres Gêmeas foram atacadas eu estava trabalhando.


Terceiro exemplo:

Eu sempre me deito às 23h. Então, na noite passada, à 23h30 eu estava dormindo.



Formação da afirmativa

Sujeito     +  verbo auxiliar          + verbo principal com ING         +         complemento
